About the One Club
The One Club for Creativity, a nonprofit organization that exists to celebrate and support
the success of the global creative community. The One Club seeks a dynamic manager and
problem-solver who is interested in and knows the Advertising and Design industries to
oversee and promote The One Show, our highest-visibility event of the year.
About the Role
The One Show Director oversees a team of 2 direct reports and collaborates closely with
the Director of Awards Systems. In addition, this role oversees 3-4 seasonal coordinators
with support from the Awards Teams. This position reports directly to The One Club for
Creativity’s Chief Awards Officer.
Pre-season
- Analyze data to evaluate current categories
- Research and outreach to potential future entrants
- Work with awards team to assemble jury nominations
- Help update categories, rankings and other changes to upcoming awards process
- Strategize and develop a comprehensive project schedule to include entry
deadlines, communications schedule, judging dates, production and more
Entry Season
- Work with external partners to create a Call for Entries campaign
- Oversee the hiring and management of seasonal coordinators
- Conduct outreach and set up meetings with key partners and potential entrants,
visit and market the awards in the U.S. and abroad - Assist VIP entrants with entry questions and support
- Ensure press and marketing assets are updated throughout the season to reflect the
various deadlines and stages of the show
Judging
- Oversee production elements [tech, staffing, schedule, logistics, etc.] related to the
in-person and online judging - Serve as a key point of contact for the jury
Awards Ceremony
- Research and hire production companies and partners
- Work with production company to manage all awards show logistics
- Manage awards notifications, recipients and presenters
Core Responsibilities
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- 7+ years of professional experience in marketing, advertising, industry awards or
trade industry events - Experience working with production partners on a large-scale gala event
Experience with CMS’s and other databases and the ability to learn new systems
quickly - Strategic marketing experience with ability to come up with ideas and work
collaboratively with social media and content teams to promote the awards
program - Strong presentation skills and the ability to sell a program in front of an audience is a
plus. - Ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy
- Self-motivated with a proven track record at meeting/exceeding deadlines
- Budget management essential
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
Requirements
- Must be able to come into our NYC offices on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and other
days as needed - Some weekends required particularly during show production season
- Travel required
- Must be legally able to work in the U.S. without employment sponsorship
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position that requires all staff to be present at our New York headquarters in
Hudson Yards on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the possibility of additional days to
match potential workload. The role is expected to be available for in-person or virtual
meetings throughout the week.
Compensation
For this position, The One Club is prepared to offer the ideal candidate a salaried, full-time
position from $100,000 - 125,000, plus a discretionary bonus based on performance. This
compensation is offered in good faith, and may be subject to change, dependent upon
factors such as years of experience or quality of experience.

(dependent upon individual and company performance) as part of our company’s biannual
performance review cycle.
We also offer milestone benefits, such as a 401k plan, with eligibility starting after 1 year,
and a company share plan, with eligibility starting after 1 y ear, fully vested after 5 years.
Additionally, we currently offer 18 days of PTO, 11 paid holidays, alternating summer
Fridays off, and a paid week off the last week of December as Employee Appreciation.
